Position: Corporate Credit Assessment - Analyst / Senior Analyst (NY) Entity: Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC Employment Type: Full-Time Location: New York, NY Summary/Overview : KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is seeking an Analyst / Senior Analyst with a strong accounting and corporate finance background to join our growing Corporate Credit Assessment Group . The candidate will focus on building out and managing KBRA’s growing database of private credit corporate assessments and using it to conduct fundamental credit analysis and research. The Corporate Credit Assessment Group at KBRA is one of the firm’s most rapidly growing teams. The Group provides credit analytics that directly contribute to credit ratings issued across KBRA asset classes including Structured Credit, Asset-Backed Securities, Project Finance, and Funds, among others. The position is based in the New York office . Job Responsibilities: Provide credit assessments on corporates based on an analysis of their financial statements. Write rationale to defend assessments and present analysis to internal and external stakeholders. Assist senior team members with key initiatives in areas including methodology development, research, project management and database development and maintenance. Collaborate on writing and publishing timely research about corporate credit trends, markets, and any other topics relevant to KBRA clients. Develop a deep understanding of variables that impact corporate credit and credit risk. Gain experience and understanding in how market fluctuations directly impact a company’s bottom line and risk profile. Key Job Qualifications: Basic Qualifications for All Applicants Bachelor's degree required Analyst level: Zero (0) to two (2) years of investment research experience, or experience in similar financial analyst roles within a bank or other financial institutions. Senior Analyst level: A minimum of two (2) or more years of investment research experience, or similar financial analyst roles within a bank or other financial institutions Significant prior experience or coursework in accounting and credit analysis. Experience with corporate financial statements including 10-Ks, 10-Qs. Keen interest in Credit Analysis/Capital Markets with a proven ability to learn. Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and proven ability to work both independently and as a team. Experience or comfort with database management languages like SQL, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with accounting and financial statement analysis. Coding / Programing Skills including SQL, VBA, Python and /or R. Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus. Salary Range: The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 to $90,000.
