Behind the scenes, our Facilities team makes sure the Resort stays safe, functional, and looking awesome.</p>\n<p>We’re looking for a <strong>Facilities Maintenance Technician</strong> who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly across the Resort.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have <strong>basic knowledge</strong> of <strong>plumbing, electrical, and HVAC</strong> and be available to work a varying schedule from 12:30pm till 11pm including weekends and holidays, 4 days 10-hour shifts. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>🛠 About the Role</h2>\n<p>As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll help maintain, repair, and install equipment, hardware, and maintenance accessories across the Resort. Working closely with the <strong>Facilities Team Leader and Supervisor</strong>, you’ll support preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects that keep the park operating safely and efficiently.</p>\n<h2>🎯 What You’ll Be Doing</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Complete assigned work orders and maintain daily schedules.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support facilities maintenance operations across the Resort.</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform general repairs and assist skilled trades with preventative maintenance and rehabilitation projects.</p></li>\n <li><p>Operate hand tools and light machinery such as drills, saws, grinders, screwdrivers, and wrenches.</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify equipment that requires repair, adjustment, or replacement and report findings to leadership.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain tools, machines, and equipment in safe and clean working condition.</p></li>\n <li><p>Follow preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance programs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Respond to maintenance calls and operational needs throughout the Resort.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe at all times.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and state/local codes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Attend team meetings, training sessions, and development programs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Work collaboratively with other departments across the Resort.</p></li>\n <li><p>Represent the <strong>LEGOLAND brand</strong> by following dress standards and conduct expectations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Keep <strong>safety as the #1 priority</strong> in all tasks.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>💪 Physical Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods around the Resort.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to climb stairs and ladders to access elevated work areas.</p></li>\n <li><p>Manual dexterity for tools, equipment, and computer use.</p></li>\n <li><p>Visual ability to read documentation and safety materials.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Qualifications & Experience</h2>\n<h3>🧱 Who We’re Looking For</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>🛠 <strong>At least 1 year of experience</strong> in facilities maintenance and repair.</p></li>\n <li><p>⚙️ <strong>Working knowledge of maintenance trades</strong>, including troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical systems, lighting, carpentry, and plumbing.</p></li>\n <li><p>🚨 Ability to <strong>stay calm and think clearly under pressure</strong>, especially during urgent or emergency situations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to work flexible schedules including <strong>evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays</strong>.</p></li>\n <li><p>📄 Comfortable <strong>reading and reviewing reports, work orders, and correspondence</strong>.</p></li>\n <li><p>🔢 <strong>Strong basic math skills</strong> to support measurements, calculations, and maintenance tasks.</p></li>\n <li><p>😊 A <strong>guest-first mindset</strong>, with a focus on delivering great service and supporting the overall guest experience.</p></li>\n <li><p>👷 Ability to <strong>follow supervisor instructions carefully</strong> and work effectively as part of a team.</p></li>\n <li><p>👀 Strong <strong>attention to detail</strong>, with the ability to observe, remember, and report important information.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>🎉<strong> Benefits of Joining Merlin Entertainments!</strong> 🎉</p>\n<p>🏥 Excellent Health Care Options: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.🌴 Outstanding Paid Time Off (PTO): Enjoy well-deserved breaks to recharge!🎢 Merlin Magic Pass: Free entry for friends and family to our amazing parks & attractions.🏆 Recognition Programs and Rewards: Celebrate your achievements and hard work!💼 401(k) Program: Save for the future with company matching contributions.📚 Tuition Reimbursement Programs: Get support for further education and career growth.🚀 Numerous Learning and Advancement Opportunities: Grow your skills and advance your career with us!Ready to be a part of the magic?
