    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Shimmick is seeking a highly talented <strong>Business Manager</strong> to support ongoing project activity in Hawaii. This position will be responsible for accounting for the budgeted and actual cost of operations, processes, departments, and/or products and the analysis of variances and/or profitability.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Shimmick, we are problem solvers. We work hard together—and with our clients—to deliver high-quality projects that are on time, on budget and beyond expectations.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The respnsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Has advanced knowledge of project accounting, providing support for the most complex and/or large-scale projects.</li>\n <li>Under general direction, makes recommendations for project improvement based on review of financial results and knowledge of project(s).</li>\n <li>Researches general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and A/R cash adjustments.</li>\n <li>Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information.</li>\n <li>Reviews contracts for additional service opportunities and assist in converting project proposal into project budget.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li>\n <li>Heavy civil project accounting experience. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Additional Information:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</li>\n <li>This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>The salary range for this position is between<strong> $85,000 - $110,000</strong> per year depending on experience and/or education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical - including a NO-COST option, dental, and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. Additional voluntary benefit offerings include pet insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness insurance, legal and identity theft protection.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week.
