The Coding Teacher is responsible for planning and executing lessons that build upon our students’ critical-thinking skills and digital literacy while teaching fundamental coding skills.  This includes driving towards student academic success through the monitoring of student progress and cycles of feedback and student support. </span><span>You will report to the School Principal and receive coaching from the Director of Student Supports. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Key Responsibilities </span></p>\n<p><span>Planning and Executing Rigorous Coding Lessons:</span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Develop and execute engaging lesson plans that teach students foundational coding skills through hands-on activities.</span></li>\n<li><span>Adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse student needs.</span></li>\n<li><span>Create a positive and collaborative classroom environment where students are safe and learning.</span></li>\n<li><span>Organize and manage data collection processes for monitoring student progress and program effectiveness.</span></li>\n<li><span>Research and implement evidence-based strategies, materials, and tools for coding instruction.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Key Competencies and Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree highly preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Missouri teacher certification (or willingness to become certified)</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to thrive in a start-up environment</span></li>\n<li><span>Flexible, adaptable and urgent for the sake of students, families and staff</span></li>\n<li><span>Consistently model high expectations for students</span></li>\n<li><span>Deep understanding of fundamental coding</span></li>\n<li><span>Deep understanding of Missouri state standards for learning</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience designing high-quality instructional resources</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience in a start-up setting preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Track record of success as a teacher</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>What We Offer </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience</span></li>\n<li><span>Comprehensive benefits and Missouri’s PSRS/PEERS membership</span></li>\n<li><span>Staff who meet their yearly performance goals will receive a salary stipend of up to 8% of their annual salary  </span></li>\n<li><span>Work-free wellness days and professional development days throughout the year</span></li>\n<li><span>Opportunities to participate in high-quality professional development experiences </span></li>\n<li><span>Advancement opportunities as we grow from K-5 to K-8</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Career Pathways: </span></p>\n<p><span>As The Leadership School grows, we will need leaders who are prepared to step into new leadership positions.
