If so, General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an exciting career opportunity for you as a <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Network & Systems Engineer</strong> for the Information Technology - Limited Access Area (LAA) Team as part of Engineering Support Services. This position is a primary role as a Network Engineer, with a secondary focus as a Systems Engineer. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In this role as a <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Network & Systems Engineer</strong> you will: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide day-to-day communication/network security operation and maintenance of multiple secure network infrastructures such as SIPRNet.</li>\n <li>Design, develop, build, and test network engineering solutions as part of a team that introduces new technologies and/or improves existing technologies in compliance with established project management processes.</li>\n <li>Lead major project initiatives and develop configurations using expertise in routing protocols, firewalls, datacenter protocols, security requirements and network virtualization.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot, develop and design network architectures consisting of multilevel access and multilevel security platforms.</li>\n <li>Configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, VOIP systems, video teleconferencing, and various other network and telecommunication components.</li>\n <li>Analyze and determine corrective action for secure data communications networks.</li>\n <li>Implement US government COMSEC/NIST standards and practices.</li>\n <li>Program, install, load, and troubleshoot KG-175 TACLANE Encryptors.</li>\n <li>Install new software, troubleshoot, grant permissions to applications. </li>\n <li>Day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of both physical and virtual. </li>\n <li>Perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers performance using monitoring tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What you bring to our team:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. You may also bring equivalent relevant experience and certifications.</li>\n <li>CCNP preferred, at minimum CCNA.</li>\n <li>Considered to be expert and an authority in discipline.</li>\n <li>Experience with Cisco/Palo Alto Network Infrastructure Components including:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Data Center Switches.</li>\n  <li>Cisco ISR and ASR Platform Routers.</li>\n  <li>UCS Virtualization.</li>\n  <li>Cisco ASA / FTD Security Appliances.</li>\n  <li>Palo Alto NGFW.</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Experience in the fielding and operations of TACLANE Encrypters.</li>\n <li>Experience with the following:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Extensive demonstrated experience and ability in working with TCP/IP as it relates to Subnetting, DHCP, DNS, security, Packet Analysis / Troubleshooting.</li>\n  <li>Demonstrated experience in deploying, working with and troubleshooting Firewall Systems, Policies and ACLs.</li>\n  <li>Experience with AAA systems including Radius, LDAP, TACACS and Cisco ISE.</li>\n  <li>Experience with Cisco ISE for 802.1x.</li>\n  <li>Experience with BGP.</li>\n  <li>Understand PKI.</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Familiarity with compliance controls: STIGs/CIS Benchmarks, NIST SP 800-171/800-53, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), System Security Plans.</li>\n <li>Experience with implementing Linux/Windows security controls to maintain system compliance.</li>\n <li>Experience working within the requirements of a change management system.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Tenable Nessus, Splunk.</li>\n <li>Proficient creating/modifying Microsoft Visio network diagrams.</li>\n <li>Experience with vSphere and or Hyper-V.</li>\n <li>Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) certification or able to obtain within a short period.</li>\n <li>Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) certification or able to obtain within a short period.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>What sets you apart:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with CORA inspections.</li>\n <li>Experience with Teramind. </li>\n <li>An advanced knowledge of RedHat Linux, Windows Server, and/or VMware vSphere.</li>\n <li>Subject Matter Expert in researching and troubleshooting complex technical issues.</li>\n <li>Ability to engineer with system security as number one priority.</li>\n <li>Ability to quickly grasp and adopt new technologies while continuously developing yourself.</li>\n <li>Handle all levels of support with ability to collaborate and communicate with those of varying levels of technical skill.</li>\n <li>Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and strong motivational skills.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills from a variety of viewpoints.</li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What else you should know:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
