Employee shall perform additional duties as assigned.</p><ul><li>Plants and cares for trees, shrubs, and turf areas</li><li>Empties trash barrels</li><li>Cleans picnic areas, restrooms, and roadsides</li><li>Picks up litters using a prod, by hand, or machine</li><li>Operates push mower and weed whip to maintain lawn areas</li><li>Operates golf cart and utility vehicles</li><li>Operates 1 ton dump truck for park maintenance</li><li>Operates irrigation system where applicable</li><li>Operates light riding mower to maintain lawns</li></ul><p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to use hand tools and power tools.</li><li>Ability to work in all weather conditions.</li><li>Ability to operate push/power driven mowers and other turf equipment.</li><li>Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.</li><li>Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain.</li><li>Ability to load, unload and move materials between work locations.</li><li>Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors, and park visitors.</li><li>Ability to distinguish letters and symbols.</li><li>Ability to perform essential functions.</li></ul><p><strong>GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.</li><li>Ability to apply knowledge of materials, tools, practices and methods of grounds maintenance. </li><li>Ability to apply knowledge of turf maintenance & tree planting and care.</li></ul><strong>TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED:</strong> Hand & power tools, golf carts, telephone, radio.<br><br><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: </strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
