Responsibilities Location: Ashburn, VA - Onsite Position Summary We are seeking one or more motivated and technology-driven AI & Process Automation Interns to work closely with various departments across the organization to identify, document, analyze, and automate manual business processes. The intern will collaborate with teams such as HR, Finance, IT, Federal, Civic & Infrastructure Service to understand current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and help implement automation solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, AI tools, and other workflow technologies. This role provides hands-on experience in business process improvement, automation, AI adoption, and digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Meet with departments across the organization to understand and document current manual workflows and business processes. Analyze repetitive tasks and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement. Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and automation documentation. Assist in designing and implementing workflow automations using: Microsoft Power Automate Microsoft Power Apps AI and Generative AI tools Forms and approval workflows API integrations and low-code platforms Support automation initiatives for: Employee onboarding Approval workflows Notifications and alerts Data collection and reporting Contract and document routing Service request tracking Dashboard and reporting automation Work with IT and business teams to test, troubleshoot, and improve automated workflows. Help create user guides and training materials for implemented solutions. Research emerging AI and automation technologies that can improve business efficiency. Participate in digital transformation and process optimization initiatives. Qualifications Pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Computer Science Information Systems Business Analytics Data Science Engineering Related field Strong interest in AI, automation, workflow optimization, and business technology. Familiarity with: Microsoft Power Automate Microsoft Power Apps Microsoft 365 Excel, SharePoint, and Teams Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and automation concepts. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and interact professionally with different departments. Preferred Skills Experience with: AI chatbots or copilots Dashboard tools such as Microsoft Power BI Low-code/no-code automation platforms Scripting using Python or JavaScript Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure Understanding of process improvement methodologies Learning Opportunities Interns will obtain hands-on experience in: Business process analysis Workflow automation AI-assisted operations Low-code development Cross-department collaboration Digital transformation initiatives Enterprise productivity platforms Example Projects Automating employee onboarding workflows Digital approval and signature processes Automated notifications and escalation workflows Dashboard automation and reporting workflows Knowledge base and self-service solutions Internship Details Duration: 3–6 months (flexible) Company Overview Bring your passion, expertise, and experience to IBTS, where we appreciate and are committed to our employees.
