Description Position Summary The Municipal Sales Representative helps to grow CITCO sales and gross profit by aligning with CITCO sales strategy and vision. The Outside Sales Representative develops and enhances relationships with our customers by providing leading solutions that help them achieve their goals. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Grows sales, gross profit, and customer base by selling CITCO’s products and services 2. Provides strategic sales focus in assigned territories to create sales growth 3. Promotes all CITCO market strategies effectively to customer base 4. Develops and enhances relationships with our customers by providing leading solutions that achieve goals and exceed expectations 5. Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining new customers and accounts 6. Monitors sales trends and performance results 7. Attends trade shows and assists with planning of exhibits 8. Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs 9. Utilizes tools and software for sales planning and focused opportunity tracking 10. Aids inside sales in troubleshooting problems regarding products and services provided Competencies 1. Communication proficiency-oral, written, and physical 2. Customer Service 3. Motivated 4. Initiative 5. Organizational skills 6. Time Management 7. Outgoing 8. Teamwork 9. Accountability 10. Active listening Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment as well as market and territory focus on external interaction with sales teams and customers. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to operate a standard vehicle and drive long distances to service new and existing customers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. CITCO Water standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand. Travel Frequent day travel is expected to service customers and to attend sales meetings, vendor trainings, trade shows, etc. Occasional overnight travel required. Required Education and Experience 1. Bachelor’s degree in business management, sales or related field OR equivalent years of work experience 2. Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office programs. Basic understanding of how to use office equipment, e.g. Print, copy, fax, scan Preferred Education and Experience 1. Industry experience 2. Outside Sales History 3. General knowledge of CITCO core and technical products as listed in essential functions 4.
