    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>The Project Manager will bring strong experience in leadership and serve as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and requirements. They will guide the team to safely complete the scope of work on schedule and within budget for our clients. We are seeking a proven leader with large-scale nuclear power plant experience who can deliver essential core services while exemplifying our core values.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead large, multi-discipline nuclear projects from early planning and design through implementation, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with lead managers, discipline leads, and project teams across business units to ensure alignment on technical scope, priorities, and deliverables.</li>\n <li>Manage client relationships and expectations; provide timely progress, risk, and cost updates; lead regular performance and status review meetings.</li>\n <li>Own project scope, schedule (integrated master schedule with phasing and lookaheads), budget/forecasts, and key performance metrics; maintain project baselines and critical path.</li>\n <li>Manage scope changes and change orders, assessing impacts on cost and schedule and integrating approved changes into project plans, schedules, and budgets.</li>\n <li>Develop project-specific project management and commissioning/testing plans with clear acceptance criteria, verification/validation requirements, and turnover deliverables.</li>\n <li>Perform front-end project planning and readiness activities (work sequencing, interfaces, resource planning, outage and operational integration) prior to execution.</li>\n <li>Lead and coach project management and commissioning teams; provide clear direction, prioritization, and constructive feedback to support effective execution.</li>\n <li>Monitor project execution and commissioning performance, including progress, cost, quality, scope, and risk; ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.</li>\n <li>Conduct risk assessments throughout the project life cycle; implement mitigation and contingency plans; lead readiness and go/no-go reviews for key milestones.</li>\n <li>Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance and contract conformance, supporting claims and dispute resolution in coordination with the commercial team.</li>\n <li>Report progress, forecasts, and variances to leadership and the client; drive issue resolution, milestone completion, turnover documentation, and project closeout.</li>\n <li>Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and systematically improve future nuclear project execution.</li>\n <li>Promote a strong safety and quality culture across all project activities, ensuring adherence to applicable nuclear, regulatory, and organizational standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in Canada for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position may require access to U.S. export-controlled information. Please click here to determine your eligibility.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>12+ years of progressively responsible experience in the nuclear industry, or other relevant industry</li>\n <li>5+ years managing multiple projects and/or leading teams</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or other relevant field</li>\n <li>Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or ability to obtain</li>\n <li>Experience delivering under EPC and general contractor (GC) contract models.</li>\n <li>Proven supervision of project teams and management of clients, subcontractors, and vendors.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders, vendors, teammates, and business partners; strong client relationship-building.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of project labor practices and labor planning.</li>\n <li>Hands-on use of project controls (cost, schedule, change, risk) on large projects.</li>\n <li>Understanding of process-based project management and start-up testing.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of quality, safety, and health requirements.</li>\n <li>OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 skills.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong organizational and time-management skills.</li>\n <li>Core skills: project governance, scheduling, cost management, risk/issue tracking, vendor management, process improvement, team leadership, stakeholder communication, and organizational alignment.</li>\n <li>Comfortable supporting station outage activities as required </li>\n <li>Comfortable with approximately 10-25% domestic travel</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Sargent and Lundy is fully committed to abiding by all equal opportunity employment standards.
