As a Swim Instructor, you are doing more than teaching strokes; you are building confidence and providing a life-saving skill. This role is an excellent addition to a professional resume, demonstrating expertise in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">risk management, instructional design, patient mentorship, and high-stakes environment oversight.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Swim Instructors are the guardians of the pool and the mentors of progress. You bring the energy to the water every day, ensuring that swim lessons are the highlight of a camper's experience. Working as part of a specialized team, you will facilitate engaging, level-appropriate lessons while maintaining a vigilant eye on safety and fostering positive relationships with every child.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Be a Mentor:</span> Act as a positive role model for campers and the general staff.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Master the Water:</span> Facilitate engaging, high-quality swimming lessons for children of various skill levels throughout the summer.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Track Growth:</span> Complete <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">swim progress reports</span> for each camper to document their skill development and achievements.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaborative Safety:</span> Work alongside group counselors, effectively utilizing their support to manage camper behavior and transitions during swim time.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Afternoon Support:</span> Transition from the pool to assist with general camp activities in the afternoon, ensuring campers remain engaged and supervised.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Event Production:</span> Assist with the planning and implementation of camp-wide special events and spirit days.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bring the Energy:</span> Maintain a high-fun, encouraging, and safe atmosphere at the pool every single day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Age:</span> 17+ years of age.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certifications:</span> Current Lifeguarding certification is required (ask us about renewal assistance if your certs are expired).</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span> Previous experience teaching swim or working in an aquatic setting is highly preferred.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Commitment:</span> Must be available for the full season (June 29 – August 21) and required staff orientation <span>June 19- 12:00-7:00 PM, June 21- 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, June 28- 8:30 AM-5:00 PM</span> (plus one virtual half-day TBD).</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reliability:</span> Consistent Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Punctuality is critical for pool safety and rotations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Compensation &amp; Contract Details:</span></p>\n<p>We value transparency regarding our seasonal employment structure. Camp staff are hired on a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">contractual basis</span> for the eight-week summer season. As a seasonal contractual role, compensation is structured as a fixed sum rather than an hourly wage.
