We are currently seeking an Environmental Specialist for our growing environmental consulting practice in our Florham Park, NJ office. The successful candidate will complete field work, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments/Investigations and preparation of Remedial Action Workplans. The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and writing skills are critical. Recent College Graduates Encouraged to Apply! What You'll Do Participate in all aspects of site investigation and remediation, from the proposal stage, through preparation of workplans, conducting field work, and writing summary reports, to final remedial documents Field work will include oversight of subcontractors, including drillers and other laborers, during soil boring advancement, monitoring well installation, excavation activities, and remedial construction activities; and sampling various media including soil, groundwater, sediment, soil vapor and air Perform Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM E1527. Prepare summary reports including reviewing laboratory analytical data; interpreting and tabulating data and preparing tables; soil boring logs; figures; and text Minimum Qualifications BS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Enviornmental Science or related environmental degree Must possess a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record, and be willing to travel and conduct field work Experience working effectively with team members as well as independently Strong quantitative/math and analytical skills Core competency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail Must be able to wear a respirator Must pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to DOT regulated random drug testing Preferred Qualifications Experience performing Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Investigations, including soil, sediment, soil vapor, air and groundwater sampling Working knowledge of NJDEP Knowledge of the principles and standards of scientific study, field investigation and sampling, and research and documentation OSHA 40-Hour Training and 8-hour refreshers
