    "requisitionDescription": "<div><h1 id=\"isPasted\">SUMMARY:</h1><p>The Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) in the outreach setting is responsible for the provision of athletic training services for assigned schools, school systems, sports clubs and/or organizations, community sporting events, or other community activities under the supervision of the Medical Director of Sports Medicine and/or designated Team Physician(s), in accordance with the Georgia State Athletic Training Practice Act and the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC), and as a representative Optim. The ATC is also responsible to case manage/navigate injured athletes/patients that require referral to a higher level of care, market/promote physicians, services, and facilities, implement and/or participate in educational activities related to sports medicine, orthopedics, and wellness, and otherwise serve as a community relationship manager for his/her assigned service area(s).&nbsp;</p><h1>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<strong>&nbsp;</strong></h1><ul><li>Manages athletic injuries under the supervision of the designated team physician and based on the Georgia State Practice Act and the NATABOC&rsquo;s six practice domains, which include&nbsp;o Prevention<ol><li>Clinical Evaluation and&nbsp;Diagnosis</li><li>Immediate&nbsp;Care</li><li>Treatment, Rehabilitation, and&nbsp;Reconditioning</li><li>Organization and&nbsp;Administration</li><li>Professional Responsibility&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>Performs athletic training services specific to the contractual obligations agreed upon by Optim and the assigned schools, school systems, sports clubs and/or organizations, community sporting events, or other community activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Serves as the primary case manager/patient navigator for athletic injuries that require referral to a higher level of care when consulted by students, parents, coaches, community members, etc. Specific&nbsp;duties:<ol><li>Maintains athlete records with current demographic and insurance&nbsp;information.</li><li>Streamlines/facilitates physician appointments as requested/needed.</li><li>Attends physician appointments with athletes when feasible and as&nbsp;permitted.</li><li>Educates stakeholders regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options,&nbsp;etc.</li><li>Call athletes immediately after surgery. Primary contact for post-op&nbsp;questions.</li><li>Serves as a liaison between stakeholders regarding injury status return to play, etc.&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>In general, utilizes his/her role as an ATC to create opportunities to directly market, promote, educate, network, and otherwise represent Optim&rsquo;s physicians, menu of services, and/or facilities in the community(s) served.&nbsp;</li><li>Serves as the primary Optim relationship manager for coaches, teachers, faculty, staff, parents, and students at assigned school(s). Specific duties may&nbsp;include:<ol><li>Available to assist school nursing with athletic type injuries as&nbsp;needed/consulted.</li><li>Implements wellness programs for faculty/staff at assigned school(s) as&nbsp;requested.</li><li>Participates in healthcare education activities at assigned school(s) as&nbsp;requested.</li><li>Coordinates and/or offers CPR/first aid certification for faculty/staff as&nbsp;requested.</li><li>Networks with school booster clubs/organizations.&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>Serves as the primary Optim relationship manager for community stakeholders in assigned county or city. Specific duties may&nbsp;include:<ol><li>Partners with local primary care for help with non-ortho athletic&nbsp;injuries.</li><li>Partners with local primary care for help with annual sports&nbsp;physicals.</li><li>Partners with local primary care to help with referrals to Optim as&nbsp;needed.</li><li>Available to recreational sports organizations for injury prevention&nbsp;education.</li><li>Available to recreational sports organizations for injury consults as&nbsp;requested.</li><li>Networks with local civic clubs to promote ATC work at assigned&nbsp;school(s).</li><li>Networks with local media outlets to promote ATC work at assigned&nbsp;school(s).</li><li>Develops/implements community education activities on injury&nbsp;prevention.</li><li>Participates in Optim sponsored community events as requested/needed.&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>Completes all weekly, monthly, and annual reporting requirements on time and in the requested format to ensure appropriate documentation of athletic training activities for senior leadership.&nbsp;</li><li>Attends all required departmental meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><h1>COMPETENCY:<strong>&nbsp;</strong></h1><p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Analytical &ndash; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.</p><p>Problem Solving &ndash; Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving solutions.&nbsp;</p><p>Project Management &ndash; Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.</p></div>\n",
