    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Senior Safety Coordinator actively supports Layton Construction project teams to ensure the effective implementation of environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. This role requires a strong foundation in construction safety practices and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Duties</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.</li><li>Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitors safety conditions and works with the project team to ensure consistent enforcement of OSHA and Layton Construction standards and policies.</li><li>Assists the ESH Manager in investigating accidents and serious near misses, collecting initial data relevant to the investigation.</li><li>Monitors workers’ compensation issues on Layton projects and work closely with the ESH Manager to collect and report timely and accurate information.</li><li>Conducts or assists project teams with site-specific safety orientations.</li><li>Participate in pre-construction meetings for Layton projects, highlighting project safety needs and issues.</li><li>Assists project teams and case managers with injury management to ensure cost-effective industrial medical care is provided.</li><li>Conducts industrial hygiene surveys as necessary to detect gases and noise and conducts respirator fit tests.</li><li>Provides support as required to VP-Field Operations and Human Resources to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation law.</li><li>Provides safety-related training to employees and subcontractor personnel at the site level as assigned.</li><li>Participates in monthly corporate Safety Committee meetings.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Qualifications</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.</li><li>Demonstrated practical knowledge and documented continuing education in the field of construction safety.</li><li>Must possess a certificate of completion for the OSHA 510 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry.</li><li>Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED, with evidence of completion within the last two years.</li><li>Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction AND Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.</li><li>Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong organization and grammar.</li><li>Ability to perform essential job duties accurately and safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.</li><li>Proficient in understanding and conveying English commands, questions, and safety-related instructions.</li><li><p>Devoted to continuous learning and demonstrates a strong commitment to developing and maintaining core ESH competencies.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>Benefits -&nbsp;Layton Construction offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, Life &amp; AD&amp;D Insurance, Long-term Disability Insurance, Short-term Disability Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Home &amp; Auto Insurance, Family Support, Pre-tax Paid Parking/Public Transportation, Paid time off, Time Away Benefits, Paid Holidays, Group Legal, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Identity Theft Protection, Group Legal, Pet Insurance, Employee Assistance Program.</p><p>EEO Statement - Layton Construction is&nbsp;an equal opportunity employer.&nbsp; We evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, and other legally protected characteristics.</p>",
