    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Intertek is searching for a&nbsp;<strong>Mineral Inspector</strong>&nbsp;to join our Caleb Brett&nbsp;team in our&nbsp;<strong>Montreal, Quebec&nbsp;</strong>office.&nbsp; This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in&nbsp;<strong>Inspections</strong>!</p><p>The&nbsp;<strong>Mineral Inspector</strong>&nbsp;is responsible for&nbsp;<span>helping customers optimize return on cargoes and help them resolve difficult technical challenges.</span></p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Plan and organize cargo inspection work to ensure timely delivery of services, reports and samples.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Assist in the movement of raw materials when loading and unloading ships, railcars or trucks.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Perform routine equipment checks and calibrations and perform routine operational checks.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Perform visual observation, volume measurement, temperature measurement and sampling of raw materials contained or transported in ships, railcars or trucks, following specified methodology.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Maintain communication and coordination between loading facilities and Intertek management personnel to facilitate the successful completion of assigned tasks.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Verify and report results and record in appropriate media, printed or electronic, to ensure validity and traceability of information.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Maintain work areas, records and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Verify the availability of supplies needed to perform the above procedures and inform the Coordinator, Inspection and Training of supply needs.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Assist less experienced employees with inspection or quality systems enforcement activities and organizational training using approved materials, online or printed, or materials provided by Intertek management.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Carry out the above responsibilities and any other responsibilities that may be assigned, in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Code of Ethics, Environmental Management System, and the Company's vision and strategy, while exercising sound judgment, common sense and diplomacy.</span></p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What it takes to be successful in this role:</strong></p><ul><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>The Mineral&nbsp;Inspector must be proficient in basic math and computer skills.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>The Mineral Inspector must be physically fit to perform the work required and must not be limited to working at heights or in confined spaces, carrying heavy loads and working long hours.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>The Mineral Inspector must have a positive attitude and a high tolerance for work pressure and must be able to work and communicate with people of diverse personalities and backgrounds.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>The Mineral Inspector must be able to travel in a vehicle and hold a valid driver's license in order to travel to Trois-Rivières, Montreal, Sorel-Tracy, Quebec City, Havre St-Pierre or any other location that requires it.</span></p></li></ul><p><strong>Site Specific requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><span data-teams=\"true\">Position doesn't offer visa sponsorship</span></li><li>Need a valid Canadian driver license.</li><li>50% of work will be at Sorel-Tracy. &nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When working with Intertek, you can expect salary and benefit package competitively placed within the local market, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability,&nbsp;Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)&nbsp;with company match, generous vacation/sick time,&nbsp;tuition reimbursement and more.
