Ensures treatment practices are in accordance with accreditation and organizational standards, and are aligned with person-centered care. Essential Functions Provides comprehensive mental health evaluations, prepares detailed reports with findings and recommendations, and ensures timely completion of all clinical documentation, including psychosocial histories, assessments, treatment plans, admission/ discharge summaries, other chart-related documents, and correspondence for assigned residents. Provide individual counseling and facilitate educational and counseling groups as assigned; accurately and promptly chart these activities in client records Assist with De-escalation as needed. Understand and enforce expectations and policies related to client care Strive to increase professional growth and effectiveness through training and by keeping abreast of current trends and theories in relevant areas Assist residents in understanding and completing therapeutic change objective-driven treatment plans Work cooperatively with necessary staff members, other community resources, and referral sources to coordinate services to clients To ensure the smooth functioning of therapeautic and Independence Hall operations, the licensed clinician will attend staff meetings and ISP meetings with client. Upon discharge, the clinician will provide follow along services to residents who discharged successfully from Independence Hall and have moved into the community. Competencies Effective communicator; assertive when necessary Ethical practice Highly confidential Calm under pressure and in crisis Interacts with patients and team members in a professional manner Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to stay organized and meet tight deadlines Continuous demonstration of behaviors aligned with a posture of servant leadership and our cultural values Proficient in the use of computer software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite and Zoom. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization . Work Environment This job operates in a  veteran residential transitional program. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones . Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position would require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, bending or stooping as necessary, and performing work at a computer for extended periods. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; the schedule includes evenings, weekends, and on-call rotational work. Travel Minimal travel is expected for this position. Required Education, Experience, or Eligibility Qualifications Fully licensed as a LCPC, LBSW, LMSW, or LCSW, through the Montana Board of Behavioral Health. OR Ph.D. or Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or related field from a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. (CACREP), Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) or Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program in counseling Preferred Education and Experience Five years of post-certification clinical experience, with some of this experience directly related to serving persons with mental health disorders.
