    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Assistant Softball Coach/Pitching Emphasis&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Graceland University</strong> is seeking a dynamic Assistant Softball Coach to assist in all operations of a University Softball Program.&nbsp;Applicants must be proactive, have good time management skills and the ability to connect and lead college athletes appropriately. &nbsp;We are seeking a passionate coach who is committed to excellence and is willing to work within the coaching staff to continue our program to greatness.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Graceland University is a private liberal arts university located in Lamoni, Iowa and competing in the competitive NAIA Heart of America Athletic Conference. The university is conveniently located 1 hour south of Des Moines and 2 hours north of Kansas City.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong><br><br>\n &nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Assists&nbsp;</strong>in the planning and implementation of details in all aspects of the Softball program.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Planning and delivery of training sessions.</li>\n <li>Facilitation of a Reserve program and all aspects related.</li>\n <li>Involvement in Social Media Marketing of Varsity and Reserve teams.</li>\n <li>Travel Organization</li>\n <li>Budgeting</li>\n <li>Fundraising &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Study Table supervision.</li>\n <li>Field Work</li>\n <li>Facility Scheduling, game day set up and management.</li>\n <li>Oversight of student work-study positions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Athletic Facility Concessions Stand management.</li>\n <li>Ability to recruit, coach and teach highly talented student-athletes.</li>\n <li>Representing the University at campus, alumni, and community functions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Participates in the evaluation of high school talent through high school visits, on sight observations at high school, regional, state, and national levels of competition, and film/video review and analysis.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree Required.</li>\n <li>Effective communicative and public relation skills.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and administrative skills.</li>\n <li>Competent knowledge of sport specific techniques, skill development and execution.</li>\n <li>An understanding of how to build and manage a team.</li>\n <li>The ability to understand and articulate program needs.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated competency in helping to meet program objectives, working independently, supervising others, and helping to establish program priorities.</li>\n <li>An ability to communicate with and interact positively with students, faculty, staff, and the broader University community.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the operational use of computer and video technology.</li>\n <li>The ability to develop a safe and functional working environment.</li>\n <li>An appreciation of and a willingness to adhere to the NAIA philosophy, rules, and regulations.</li>\n <li>Ability to follow directions and accept decisions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Position will remain open until filled.
