Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, <strong>U.S. citizenship is required</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2>\n<h3>Job Summary</h3>\n<p>We are seeking a highly skilled <strong>Advanced Systems Engineer 3</strong> to support and lead systems engineering efforts with a specialized focus on <strong>Nuclear Surety</strong>. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nuclear weapons systems, surety principles, and safety/security/reliability requirements in support of mission-critical national defense programs.</p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead systems engineering activities ensuring compliance with <strong>Nuclear Surety</strong> standards, policies, and regulations</li>\n <li>Apply nuclear surety principles including <strong>Safety, Security, and Reliability (S2R)</strong> across system design and development</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain nuclear surety documentation including <strong>Safety Rules, Surety Assessments, and System Safety Plans</strong></li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with <strong>DoD Directives (DoDD 3150.02)</strong>, <strong>AFI 91-series</strong>, and other applicable nuclear surety regulations</li>\n <li>Conduct and support <strong>Nuclear Surety Inspections (NSIs)</strong> and surety working groups</li>\n <li>Perform hazard analyses including <strong>Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA)</strong>, <strong>Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)</strong>, and <strong>Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)</strong></li>\n <li>Collaborate with government customers, program offices, and stakeholders on nuclear surety requirements</li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers</li>\n <li>Support proposal development, design reviews, and customer briefings related to nuclear surety</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred</li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, with significant focus on <strong>nuclear weapons systems or nuclear surety</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Clearance:</strong> Active <strong>Secret </strong>clearance preferred</li>\n <li><strong>Candidate must be local to the Pittsfield office and able to work onsite.
