Description

Electrician (Wheeling, IL.) Department: Maintenance Manager “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are usually correct! Choose SG360°. It’s the right thing to do!” Opportunity to learn and grow in the print industry. SG360° is currently hiring! $2,500 Retention Bonus! Weekly paycheck! Job Purpose: Install, maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuitry and related components associated with production and facility equipment. This is a collective bargaining unit position Essential Functions: 1. Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain electrical/electronic equipment used in production or other related services, maximizing production time and minimizing down time. 2. Troubleshoot electrical/electronic equipment malfunctions or operating problems and make repairs or adjustments as necessary to keep equipment in production. 3. Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment which may involve electrical wiring, electrical components or electronic instrumentation. 4. Ability to utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify, repair, or improve equipment functionality. 5. Perform maintenance on buildings, facilities, and the grounds. 6. Perform all necessary preventative maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment, other electrical/electronic equipment, buildings, and grounds. 7. Inventory parts and supplies and compile parts list needed to complete rebuilding and repair activities on equipment and submit list to the supervisor so that parts may be ordered. 8. Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork, records, documents, etc. Additional Responsibilities: 1. Perform work and duties to meet our production needs and to provide superior customer satisfaction. 2. Report your time and production results accurately, be on time to work, work overtime when requested to meet the needs of our customers. 3. Improve your skills, suggest improvements, cooperate with other departments, and improve your knowledge of SG360 and the graphic arts industry. 4. Follow proper work procedures, comply with SG360 policies and obey safety and security rules. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: 1. Associate Degree in Electronics or related field a plus. Minimum of 5 years of electrical / electronic repair experience in a print manufacturing environment is preferred. Physical: 1. Must be able to lift and/or carry 65 pounds. 2. Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel or crouch for job. 3. May be exposed to hot/humid and/or dusty work environment. 4. May be exposed to controlled non-toxic mists or vapors. Mental: 1. Must be able to read and understand written instructions. 2. Must have a good knowledge of electrical/electronic theory, the national electrical code, the local electrical code and electrical safety practices. 3. Position may require some mathematical calculations (including common fractions, decimals, and various units of measure.) May use a calculator. Technical: 1. Strong knowledge in the electronic diagnostics of PLC's, AC/DC drive systems and various types of computer operated control circuitry (Siemens and Allen Bradley). 2. Experience with web offset printing presses (Goss/Heidelberg -M1000B, M1000BE, M600, M110, print units, or similar equipment is preferred. 3. Requires the ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams and use precision measuring devices. 4. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing a personal computer, order parts and materials by using appropriate company purchasing requirements including computerized maintenance management systems. 5. Utilize a variety of tools such as: hand tools, power tools, electrical/electronic test equipment and calibration equipment. 6. Requires the ability to obtain a forklift operator’s certification.
