Department: Maintenance
Position: Maintenance & Custodial Staff
Reports to: Maintenance Director
Schedule: 20-25 hours per week. Flexible schedule with evenings and every other weekend.
Pay: 16.50/hour
MISSSION
The Brainerd Family YMCA works to strengthen the foundation of our community by developing successful youth, engaging people in healthy living and inspiring a commitment to social responsibility.
GENERAL FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, this individual is responsible for the cleanliness of our facility, equipment, and grounds.
RESPONSIBILTIES
To help us work towards our mission, this individual will maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members, staff, and guests.
Learn members’ names and greet them.
Monitor all areas of facility and politely enforce rules and guidelines.
Check in with Wellness Staff or Front Desk and complete additional duties when necessary.
Read and understand all MSDS sheets, and OSHA guidelines.
Vacuum/sweep/mop floors.
Clean and dust all equipment.
Clean mirrors and windows.
Empty garbage and recycling containers as needed.
Fill disinfectant bottles and check all paper towel dispensers.
Disinfect all door handles, tables, benches, and chairs.
Clean counters, sink area, urinals, toilets, saunas, and showers.
Clean and organize all storage areas.
Clean vents and light fixtures when time allows.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
A criminal background check is required for this position.
