Position Summary: The Assistant Director for Student Leadership is responsible for the development, execution, and assessment of student leadership development programming in collaboration with the Executive Director of the Student Center, focusing on engaging students aspiring to hold leadership roles as well as more established student leaders. The Assistant Director will manage budgets and direct marketing efforts for the programs they oversee. This role will develop and evaluate learning outcomes for each program, tracking student growth through both quantitative and qualitative lenses. They will also assist the Executive Director with gathering content for the Student Center’s annual report and aid in reporting related to the University’s strategic plan. Ideal Candidate Statement: An ideal candidate will have experience developing leadership programming and assessment. Workplace Requirements: This position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration (one virtual day per week during the academic year and two virtual days during the summer). Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change. Hiring Range: $52,000 to $55,500 annually, contingent upon qualifications and experience *Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree 2+ years of experience in higher education or a similar field In lieu of the experience requirement, additional related education, above and beyond what is required, may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
