    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div style=\"font-family: &quot;Segoe UI&quot;; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; line-height: 20px;\"><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><p><strong>Lead Fleet Operations</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and available to meet operational needs</li><li>Manage vehicle lifecycle activities, including acquisition, commissioning, maintenance, and replacement</li><li>Direct fleet maintenance, parts inventory management, and welding services</li></ul><p><strong>Drive Performance and Efficiency</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve shop efficiency, resource utilization, and cost effectiveness</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions</li><li>Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance fleet operations</li></ul><p><strong>Manage People and Resources</strong></p><ul><li>Provide leadership and supervision to Fleet Department staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and development</li><li>Build a strong team culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement</li><li>Lead workforce planning and succession efforts</li></ul><p><strong>Oversee Financial and Contract Management</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and manage departmental budgets, capital plans, and operational expenditures</li><li>Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual and financial requirements</li><li>Review, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts</li></ul><p><strong>Ensure Safety and Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements</li><li>Lead safety and training programs to maintain a safe and compliant work environment</li></ul><p><strong>Collaborate and Communicate</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with internal departments to understand fleet needs and deliver exceptional service</li><li>Respond to customer concerns and provide timely, effective solutions</li><li>Prepare and present operational reports, metrics, and recommendations to leadership</li></ul><hr><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><p><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></p><p><strong>One of the following is required:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field, plus:<ul><li>At least 5 years of progressive experience managing complex operations</li><li>At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>OR</strong></p><ul><li>Associate degree or technical certification in automotive/mechanical technology (or related field), plus:<ul><li>At least 9 years of relevant progressive experience, including supervisory responsibilities</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Certifications</strong></p><ul><li>Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP) preferred or required based on experience level</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Key Skills and Expertise</strong></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, automotive repair, and equipment management</li><li>Experience with budgeting, procurement, and contract management</li><li>Ability to analyze performance data and implement strategic improvements</li><li>Proven leadership and team management skills</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities</li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Exposure to shop and field environments, including noise, dust, fumes, and equipment operation</li><li>Occasional extended hours and on-call availability may be required</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Valid North Carolina Driver’s License</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Join PWC?</strong></p><p>At PWC, you’ll be part of a mission-driven organization that powers essential services for the Fayetteville community.
