Description

SUMMARY: The PIIC Student Summer Camp Student Coordinator will manage daily operations of the Summer Camp during all program hours (Tuesday-Friday, 9:30 am-3pm for 16 days (July 21, 2026-August 21, 2026) . Responsibilities will include preparing materials, assisting with program logistics, providing weekly summary of each week of the camp, participating in a post camp meeting with camp counselors, and the Summer Camp Coordinator, will ensure adherence to policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet business needs. Meeting the camp transportation daily at arrival and dismissal. Escorting campers to and from assigned rooms. Remain with campers during programming, assisting camp staff as needed. Take daily attendance and submit to Activities Coordinator each morning Assist faculty with classroom management Accompany campers on any off-site field trips. Administer survey at conclusion of camp. Assist with pre-camp coordination including room scheduling, ordering, and preparing materials. Assist with post-camp reporting including expense/budget reporting, survey analysis, and final reporting. Coordinate with safety or EMT staff in case of emergency. Other duties as assigned by supervisor MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or GED. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Competent in using a computer and common computer software programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams) Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and can read, interpret and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks. Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies. Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Present a professional image in word, action and attire. Apply effective techniques to create working relationships with others to achieve common goals; successfully communicates and collaborates with others to achieve goals. Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and process critically to make recommendations for improvement. Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision Ability to work well within the existing team and government structure Sensitive to Native American Culture Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability Pass drug screen (UA) and a federal criminal background check in compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act and the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree seeking student or interest in one or more of the following areas of study: Education, Educational Technology, Clinical Mental Health, Psychology. Experience working in summer camp or youth program setting. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Must be able to sit for long periods of time with occasional amounts of standing or walking Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods throughout the day Must be able to stand or walk up to ten hours per day regularly Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods throughout the day Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely Must be able to bend and crouch frequently Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions REQUIRED TRAINING: Harassment training Any position-related training as determined by supervisor WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an indoors and outdoors and may include exposure to extreme weather conditions.
