We also provide attractive working conditions and opportunities for career growth through professional development.</p>\n<p><strong>Discover why Cooper University Health Care is the employer of choice in South Jersey.</strong></p>\n<h2>Short Description</h2>\n<p>The insurance Specialist is responsible for the following:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Registration and Charge Entry</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Register patients into EPIC from for outside physician practices</li>\n <li>Using outside EMRs to verify demographic data (Cerner, Sorian, Epic)</li>\n <li>Check eligibility of patients/update insurance coverage</li>\n <li>Manual charge entry</li>\n <li>Daily work queue edits (registration, interface, documentation)</li>\n <li>Enter charge sessions for outside physician practices</li>\n <li>Communication with coding vendors as needed</li>\n <li>Merging duplicate charts together and send to HIM</li>\n <li>Physician Billing Tracking for manual charge entry</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Experience Required</h2>\n<p>2 years insurance verification or registration experience in a hospital or physician office.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Knowledge of medical insurance and billing requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Proficient in Flowcast, HQ, eCAOS, MISYS, Spheris. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Knowledge of state and federal medical assistance and health services programs preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability to organize, take independent action and project Cooper values to customers and</p>\n<p>co-workers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Experienced scheduling, front desk, and basic knowledge of hospital/physician coding.</p>\n<h2>Education Requirements</h2>\n<p>High School Diploma or Equivalent required.</p>\n<h2>Special Requirements</h2>\n<p>Skilled in use of computers and software applications, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, registration and billing systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Excellent verbal and written communications skills.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Scheduled Days / Hours: as needed</strong></p>\n<h2>Salary Min ($)</h2>USD $21.00\n<h2>Salary Max ($)</h2>USD $33.00",
