Works closely with the Associate and Assistant Deans for Education, Senior Associate Dean for Enrollment, Student Affairs, and Organizational Engagement, Office of Community and Clinical Practice, Program/Specialty Directors, Program Administrators, Curriculum, Progression, and Program Evaluation Committees, and faculty to ensure program outcomes and continuous improvement, including collaboration on course offerings, program changes, and student experiences. Collaborates as needed with the Office of Academic Advancement to optimize faculty assignments within the Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program. This is a three-year position with re-appointment annually based upon performance appraisal of the Associate Dean for Education and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Advancement and Innovation. Leadership and Management Strategically aligns with the SON Leadership Cultivates innovative approaches to advance the Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program in accordance with the NHWSN’s mission and Leads the implementation and evaluation of all aspects of competency-based education to improve student learning and ensure Works closely with Clinical Placements in obtaining and evaluating clinical sites and learning Collaborates with NHWSN, Emory, and community leaders to promote community engagement and establish and sustain Advances high quality education and student success in collaboration with Oversees and advances Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program student experience and Provides leadership in the management of the Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program through program planning, curriculum development, implementation of innovations, and systematic Ensures use of innovative technology-mediated teaching methods and tools for continuous improvement of the program/specialty. Champions evidence-based learning delivery models (post-licensure). Ensures achievement of credentialing and accreditation standards. Advises on hiring, supervision, assignments and evaluation of the Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program faculty, including identifying programmatic needs for faculty recruitment and retention. Develops and maintains strategic relationships with Emory University, Woodruff Health Sciences Center, Emory Healthcare, and community partners/stakeholders to advance program/specialty and Mentors Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program faculty to advance scholarship and professional development Metrics and Outcomes Ensures Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program outcomes meet national standards and licensure and certification pass Advances enrollment Advances retention, progression, and graduation rates. Advances Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program national Qualifications: Terminal degree in nursing or related field (DNP, PhD, EdD). Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia Licensed/authorized to practice as an APRN in the State of Georgia Minimum of 3-5 years practice experience in emergency care, including maintaining a current clinical practice Certification as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-C) through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB; FNP-C credential) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC; FNP-BC credential) Strong commitment to the mission and values of higher Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational Experience fostering a respectful and inclusive academic Prior leadership experience in a college or university setting is preferred.
