Description

Shodair Children's Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in a collaborative inpatient setting. This vital role supports children and adolescents with diverse mental health and developmental diagnoses across acute and residential units. The BCBA will lead behavior assessment and intervention efforts, working closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and therapists to provide holistic, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for children with a range of behavioral and psychiatric challenges. Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Provide direct behavioral therapy, consultative services, and detailed assessment reports. Collect and analyze behavioral data to guide and adjust interventions. Train and support hospital staff in effective behavior strategies and plan implementation. Deliver guardian training and psychoeducatio n to promote consistency across care environments. Collaborate in treatment planning, safety interventions, and multidisciplinary meetings. Maintain compliance with documentation, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Engage in physical interventions when required to ensure patient and staff safety. Participate in ongoing supervision and professional development.
