The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically curious, comfortable on the shop floor, and motivated to drive automation that delivers real manufacturing results.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>· Robotics &amp; Automation</p><p>· Design, program, and debug industrial robotic systems for:</p><p>· Machine tending</p><p>· Material handling</p><p>· Foundry and machining operations</p><p>· Assembly and secondary processes</p><p>· Program robots from major platforms (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, Universal Robots).</p><p>· Integrate robots with PLCs, sensors, vision systems, conveyors, and safety devices.</p><p>· Develop and optimize robot paths, cycle times, and uptime.</p><p>· Cell Integration &amp; Support</p><p>· Lead robotic cell commissioning from installation through production launch.</p><p>· Design or support end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and fixturing.</p><p>· Troubleshoot robot, electrical, mechanical, and process issues.</p><p>· Provide ongoing production support and continuous improvement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Safety &amp; Standards</strong></p><p>· Ensure robotic systems comply with OSHA, RIA, and internal safety standards.</p><p>· Participate in risk assessments and safety validation.</p><p>· Support BCI’s Safety First culture in all automation projects.</p><p>· Continuous Improvement</p><p>· Identify automation opportunities that reduce labor, improve ergonomics, and increase throughput.</p><p>· Support lean manufacturing, standard work, and process optimization.</p><p>· Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What Success Looks Like in This Role</strong></p><p>· Robotic cells launch on time, safely, and meet performance targets.</p><p>· Reduced manual labor and improved ergonomics.</p><p>· Improved uptime, cycle time, and consistency.</p><p>· Strong collaboration with operations and maintenance.
