We are hiring an <strong>English Language Teacher (ESL) </strong>to provide <strong>in-person</strong> customized lessons to <strong>children</strong> in <b>Carmel, IN</b>.</p><p>Job Information:</p><ul><li>Class numbers: 197322 and 197323</li><li>Student: Two eleven-year-old siblings, taking individual classes back-to-back</li><li>Target language: English</li><li>Requested times:  In May, weekends 4-8 pm; in June, weekdays after 3 pm</li><li>Preferred start date: ASAP</li><li>Lesson frequency: 4x per week</li><li>Lesson length: 30 minutes for each student</li><li>Student’s location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Carmel, IN 46032 (near Hotel Carmichael on 1 Carmichael Square)</li><li>Current English level: Complete beginners</li><li>Languages spoken at home: Japanese and Chinese</li><li>Students’ language needs and goals: Their lessons should focus on building vocabulary, learning common phrases used by native speakers in everyday situations, and developing confidence through conversations with native speakers. Special emphasis should also be placed on school-related vocabulary and social language to help them make friends and integrate more easily into their new environment.</li></ul><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons</li><li>Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes</li><li>Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners towards learning goals</li><li>Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>To have a native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language</li><li>To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field. </li><li>To have a minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL</li><li>Experience teaching children is a must.</li></ul><p>All Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
