We are looking for a Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative (DLER) to join our team in Chesapeake, Virginia or San Diego, California. The Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative (DLER) is assigned to one or more vessels in the LPD 17, LSD 41/49, or LHD 8/LHA 6 ship classes. The DLER assists the ship&rsquo;s crew in documenting and scheduling Diesel Engine maintenance actions, collecting engine performance data, and assisting with engine balancing.&nbsp;</span><p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><br></span></p><p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p><ul><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Coordinate diesel engine maintenance with the ship&rsquo;s maintenance team, regional maintenance centers.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Represent the ISEA at integrated project team development meetings, conferences, work package reviews, and industrial support visits.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Maintain life cycle maintenance plans for assigned vessels.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Monitor vessels life cycle maintenance, performance data, and reciprocating engine analysis testing compliance. &nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Coordinate to ensure that condition-based maintenance requirements are planned for upcoming availabilities.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Review and submit technical reports, work specifications, and maintenance procedures.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Evaluate departure from specification requests and submit to the appropriate technical authority for resolution.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that parts and materials are available when needed.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Provide the crew collecting engine performance data.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Assist the crew in engine balancing and grooming events. &nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Qualifications:</span></p><ul class=\"decimal_type\" style=\"line-height: 1.15;\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">High School Diploma or GED</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing diesel engine maintenance in a marine environment.</li><li id=\"isPasted\" style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Experience shall include prior certification as a US Navy Fleet Diesel Engine Inspector (DEI) and/or an OEM Technical Service Representative.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Experience with maritime diesel engines. Preference given to candidates with OEM training and experience with the following engine lines:&nbsp;<ol style=\"font-size: initial; font-family: initial;\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Colt-Pielstick PC2.5</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">FM 38 ND 8 1/8&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">FM PA6B STC</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Caterpillar 3608</li></ol></li><li id=\"isPasted\" style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Two (2) years of experience with the Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS) and Diesel Readiness System (DRS) programs. Personnel shall be fully capable with the use of the Shipboard Automated Maintenance Manager (SAMM) software; diesel engine performance analysis (DEPA) data collection, reviewing and analyzing engine data to provide technical recommendations, and performing engine balance/grooming events.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Strong communication and leadership skills.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Ability to understand and implement maintenance policies and procedures.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Ability to perform work in engine rooms and onboard ships while underway.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5;\">Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.</li></ul><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
