In this role, you will lead the modernization, enhancement, and maintenance of secure web applications that support data-driven decision-making and operational effectiveness. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate brings deep experience in <strong>React.js</strong>,<strong> Node.js</strong>, <strong>JavaScript</strong>, <strong>HTML</strong>, <strong>CSS</strong>, <strong>SQL</strong>, and <strong>RESTful API integration</strong>, along with the ability to <strong>refactor legacy systems</strong>, improve application scalability and performance, and collaborate with stakeholders in Agile development environments. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>THIS POSITION INCLUDES A $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a <strong>Senior Web Application Developer</strong> with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to do the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Modernize and maintain web apps for scalability and performance</li>\n <li>Write modular code in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS</li>\n <li>Refactor legacy code to reduce debt and improve readability</li>\n <li>Build dashboards, workflows, and visualizations for data-driven apps</li>\n <li>Optimize SQL queries and ensure database performance and security</li>\n <li>Define and deliver scalable solutions with stakeholders</li>\n <li>Work in Agile (Scrum, XP, Kanban) environments</li>\n <li>Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers</li>\n <li>Provide actionable reports and analytics for informed decisions</li>\n <li>Maintain, modernize, and refactor web applications for improved scalability, performance, and maintainability.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active<strong> TS clearance w/SCI</strong> eligibility</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent years of relevant experience).</li>\n <li><strong>8-10 years</strong> of relevant experience </li>\n <li>Active Security+ CE certificate or <strong>ability to obtain Security+ CE certification within 90 days of hire</strong></li>\n <li>Proficiency in <strong>React.js</strong>, <strong>Node.js</strong>,<strong> JavaScript/HTML/CSS</strong>, and <strong>SQL</strong></li>\n <li>Experience developing and integrating <strong>RESTful API</strong>s.</li>\n <li>Experience with Git or other version control systems.</li>\n <li>Ability to analyze, refactor, and improve <strong>legacy applications</strong>.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with <strong>Linux (RHEL)</strong> administration and update management.</li>\n <li>Experience working in <strong>Agile environments</strong>, including Scrum or XP methodologies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>NOTE</strong>: U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>THIS POSITION INCLUDES A $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!</strong></p>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $140,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
