Your expertise helps inform clinical decisions that impact lives every day.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.</li>\n <li>Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.</li>\n <li>Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.</li>\n <li>Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.</li>\n <li>Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs.</li>\n <li>Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.</li>\n <li>Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history, and assures that the information is accurately documented.</li>\n <li>Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality imagesfor interpretation.</li>\n <li>Assesses diagnostic imagesfor technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that allrelative anatomy is demonstrated.</li>\n <li>Applies principles ofradiation safety to minimize exposure to patients,self, and others.</li>\n <li>Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without use of power injectors.</li>\n <li>Performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access for the purpose of contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.</li>\n <li>Administers medical aid asrequired in cases of adverse reaction to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.</li>\n <li>Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.</li>\n <li>Assists in supervision ofstudent technologists and training of new technologists.</li>\n <li>Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.</li>\n <li>Ensures safety of all customers.</li>\n <li>Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.</li>\n <li>Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements.</li>\n <li>Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.</li>\n <li>Maintains well-stocked and organized work areas.</li>\n <li>Provides patient transport.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Training</strong>Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.</p>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.</li>\n <li>Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R).</li>\n <li>Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (CT).</li>\n <li>Maintains current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong>Mandatory minimum of two (2) years CT experience and experience in one or more of the following areas:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced imaging experience and proficiency, including 3D Lab or IR imaging, or Cardiac imaging.</li>\n <li>Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training.</li>\n <li>Primary responsibility: Dual imaging roles, with current proficiency and routinely performing in secondary modality.</li>\n</ul>",
