Come join us in delivering projects that make a difference.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking an <strong>Electrical Engineer</strong> with at least 5+ years of engineering design experience to join our Electrical Building Systems group serving Industrial, Commercial, Government and Higher Education markets.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and interested in team building, client relationships, and continuous learning while applying a broad range of electrical engineering and interpersonal skills.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Additional responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Development of construction documents, project specifications, and reports.</li>\n <li>Prepare electrical design drawings for power distribution systems, lighting layout, Fire Alarm, and equipment sizing.</li>\n <li>Prepare design drawings and/or provide markups to drafting team or other project resources.</li>\n <li>Provide construction administration tasks throughout all phases of construction.</li>\n <li>Perform MEP, architectural, structural, and civil coordination.</li>\n <li>Must be able to travel to project sites as needed or required.</li>\n <li>Research and analyze technical data, installation and operations manuals for products and equipment.</li>\n <li>Cultivate effective relationships with clients, and NV5 employees.</li>\n <li>Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing knowledge with other experienced engineers and designers.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>We believe the following qualifications will lead to remarkable success in this role:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors (BS) in Electrical Engineering</li>\n <li>PE preferred.  Required to have passed FE exam (with EIT designation) with ability to get PE within 12 months.</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience in an architectural and/or consulting engineering design environment</li>\n <li>Experience in industrial electrical systems would be a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable engineering codes.</li>\n <li>Ability to coordinate with controls and equipment vendors to generate instrumentation and controls field installation drawings and wiring schematics is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The pay range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
