It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.</em></p><p><strong>Position Overview:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Sets up and operates variety of woodworking machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and repair aircraft interior components and high grade furniture by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><p>It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies.</p><ol start=\"1\"><li>Studies drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed</li><li>Marks outline or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock</li><li>Matches materials for color, grain, or texture</li><li>Sets up and operators woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer, to cut and shape parts from woodstock</li><li>Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit</li><li>Bores holes for inserts, pins or dowels</li><li>Glues, fits, clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit</li><li>Drives pins or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints</li><li>Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing&nbsp;</li><li>Repairs high grade articles of furniture&nbsp;</li><li>Installs hardware such as hinges, catches, strikers, and drawer pulls and slides&nbsp;</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, &amp; Behaviors):</strong></p><ol start=\"1\"><li>Design &ndash; generates creative solutions; uses feedback to modify designs and demonstrates attention to detail&nbsp;</li><li>Problem Solving &ndash; identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and develops alternative solutions&nbsp;</li><li>Technical Skills &ndash; pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and shares that expertise with others</li><li>Customer Service &ndash; responds promptly to customer needs and meets commitments&nbsp;</li><li>Organizational Support &ndash; Follows policies and procedures and supports the organization&rsquo;s goals and values</li><li>Motivation &ndash; demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles&nbsp;</li><li>Quality &ndash; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, while finding ways to improve and promote quality</li></ol><p><strong>Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"A\"><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization</li><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
