We are a technology leader in numerous areas including technology insertion; acoustic sensors; signal processing; combat systems; torpedoes; cyber security; knowledge management; and electronic warfare.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a <strong>Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff</strong> for the Torpedo Systems Group MK48 program, you will lead overall system architecture, ensure requirement adherence, and identify future opportunities on Torpedo Programs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you will be doing:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Hardware system design:</strong> Architect and optimize systems with digital, analog, and mechanical components for DC/AC and DC/DC applications.</li>\n <li><strong>Design and development expertise:</strong> Lead and mentor circuit design, integration, verification, modeling, and simulation while ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.</li>\n <li><strong>Project leadership:</strong> Manage high-risk projects, communicate risks and mitigation strategies, and ensure quality and timeliness in operations.</li>\n <li><strong>Problem-solving and analysis:</strong> Conduct root cause analysis for both new and existing products and drive technical improvements.</li>\n <li><strong>Technical collaboration:</strong> Participate in design reviews, trade studies, and proposals while staying current on semiconductor processors, SoCs, and FPGA architectures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What you bring to the table:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Expertise in electronics and microprocessor systems:</strong> Experience with Gigahertz microprocessors, FPGA, CPLD, memory technologies, and high-speed serial links (e.g., 5+ Gbps).</li>\n <li><strong>Circuit design and testing proficiency:</strong> Strong knowledge of digital, analog, and power electronic circuits, plus hands-on experience with test equipment like scopes, power sources, and probes.</li>\n <li><strong>Technical tools and software knowledge:</strong> Familiarity with tools like Mentor Graphics, OrCAD PSPICE, LT Spice, Mathcad, Microsoft Office, and Visio.</li>\n <li><strong>Teamwork and project leadership:</strong> Ability to collaborate on multiple projects, apply leadership principles (e.g., Earned Value, CAM), and communicate results effectively.</li>\n <li><strong>Mechanical-electronics integration:</strong> Experience designing and testing complex electronics assemblies within mechanical systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What sets you apart:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Hardware architecture expertise:</strong> Proven ability to design complex analog and digital hardware systems.</li>\n <li><strong>Circuit design proficiency:</strong> Skilled in creating schematics, layouts, BOMs, and high-frequency magnetics design.</li>\n <li><strong>Product development leadership:</strong> Experience driving product roadmaps, defining new platforms, and extending existing products.</li>\n <li><strong>Team leadership:</strong> Technical lead for multidisciplinary teams, including Digital, Analog, Power Electronics, Mechanical, and Test Engineers.</li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.</li>\n <li>Research oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security</li>\n <li>Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more</li>\n <li>See more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>NOTE: </strong>This <strong>position is</strong><strong> 100% on-site</strong> in Canonsburg, PA.
