Description Job Summary As the Global Product Manager for KVM & Serial Products , you will be responsible for overseeing the development and enhancement of our flagship Serial Console, KVM, and Ethernet Gateway products that support IT operations across Data Center and Distributed IT market segments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and customer support to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our products meet market needs, deliver exceptional value to customers, and maintain a competitive edge in the industry. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Huntsville, AL office location. Responsibilities: Product Strategy and Roadmap: Define and articulate the product vision and strategy for our portfolio of IT management products in the KVM and Serial Console markets. Develop and maintain a comprehensive 3-year strategic product roadmap that aligns with business goals and market demands. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications and oversee the development process. Collaborate to ensure a user-centric approach to product design and functionality with the goal to improve the customer experience and drive market adoption. Work with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to create go-to-market strategies, sales enablement materials, and customer support documentation. Customer and Market Insights: Engage with customers, partners, and industry experts to gather feedback and understand their needs, pain points, and preferences. Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to drive product decisions and prioritize features. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the product relevant and forward-thinking. Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality product and software releases. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate product success and identify areas for improvement. Manage product enhancements, updates, and bug fixes based on customer feedback and market demands. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree encouraged. 5+ years of experience in product management or product development, with a focus on Enterprise IT management, networking equipment, remote access devices, or compute platforms. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex products with software elements throughout their lifecycle. Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with product management tools and methodologies. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Exceptional communication, presentation, and people skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
