    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>This position will offer you the opportunity to work and lead others in a project team environment in the design, modification, and/or upgrade of new and existing power plant lighting systems.</li>\n <li>Under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, you will work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams in the development of the following:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Lighting single line diagrams</li>\n  <li>Lighting Load Sheets</li>\n  <li>Lighting Calculations</li>\n  <li>Lighting Circuiting</li>\n  <li>Lighting fixture location drawings</li>\n  <li>Lighting bill of materials</li>\n  <li>Lighting general notes and detail drawings</li>\n </ul>\n <li>In addition, you will also have the opportunity to perform the following:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Conduct field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities</li>\n  <li>Supervise and mentor less experienced employees</li>\n  <li>Review drawings produced by other personnel and vendors, and incorporate them into project drawings</li>\n  <li>Create life cycle cost analysis</li>\n  <li>Update in house design standards</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree</li>\n <li>10+ years of electrical systems experience dedicated to lighting design development/engineering</li>\n <li>Exceptional AutoCAD and/or MicroStation design experience on power plants or large facility projects</li>\n <li>Extensive experience with the following:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Producing various types of lighting deliverables for installers and electricians</li>\n  <li>Assisting engineers with initial design requirements</li>\n  <li>Conceptualizing plans and details to accurately convey lighting requirements</li>\n  <li>Developing low-voltage circuit designs, including single line diagrams and electrical distribution panel layouts</li>\n  <li>Using commercial lighting calculation programs, such as Visual</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Must keep up with the latest advancements in lighting technology,  lighting controls, energy codes, and electrical systems</li>\n <li>Must be detail oriented, flexible, courteous, organized, and have good communication skills</li>\n <li>Willing to travel to client facilities to perform walkdowns and attend meetings</li>\n</ul>\n<p> Valued but not required experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or non-ABET Accredited Engineering Technology degrees</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
