Transportation of patients is performed via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Must have knowledge of working components of transport equipment and safe patient handling equipment. Ensures patient safety throughout transportation process, status of patients can range from stable to critical. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age specific needs. Understand policies on Standard Precautions, MRI safety, Back Safety, Isolation Techniques, medical emergency response, and appropriate Hand-off procedures (SBAR). Assist modalities in additional duties to encourage efficiency. These duties include and are not limited to: Regularly checks equipment, accessories, and supplies; report malfunctioning equipment so repairs can be made. The incumbent works flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.</p>",
