You will report to the News Operations Manager.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Edit stories, videos, and newscasts on tight deadlines</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Maintain news archives</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Operate electronic newsgathering equipment</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Nonlinear editing using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid, and Edius for newscast elements including PKGs, VOs, VOSOTs, opens, teases and preproduction material</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Collaborate with producers, reporters and managers to produce high quality stories</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Ensure storage and organization of media files</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Maintain standards for all edited material</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Taking in ENG and SNG feeds</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Any other editing responsibilities as assigned by news managers</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Knowledge of nonlinear editing software</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Proficiency editing with Adobe Premiere</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Can handle and juggle multiple editing assignments under strict deadlines</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Knowledge of current video production techniques</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Familiarity with mass communications law and media responsibilities</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Record multiple feeds on a digital encoding system</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Search for source materials from multiple outlets and platforms</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Related military experience will be considered</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong>Values in Action</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\">At Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
