          "text": "<p>CEDA is looking for Marine Advisors to work at&#xa0;our Fort McMurray, AB location at<strong> Suncor Base Plant.</strong></p><p>This position will support operations, maintenance, and projects on site by operating boats, completing deck work, and any marine labour on tailings ponds.</p><p>If you have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for marine fleet, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!</p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive wages and excellent benefits starting on your first day!</li><li><strong>14x14 shift&#xa0;</strong>rotation&#xa0;<strong>8+&#xa0;hours</strong>&#xa0;per day based at Suncor Base Plant&#xa0;</li><li><strong>Travel&#xa0;</strong>and&#xa0;<strong>Camp&#xa0;</strong>is provided</li><li><strong>Safety is number 1</strong>: we watch out for one another</li></ul><p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure vessels are operated safely and in compliance with Suncor’s policies and procedures and Transport Canada Regulations.</li><li>Execute on pond work to support Tailings Ops &amp; MTCE</li><li>Execute on-pond work with collaboration from cross functional teams</li><li>Providing field support for the daily operation of Tailings operations</li><li>Report any defective equipment that requires repair or replacement that affects the safety and seaworthiness of the vessel.</li><li>Ensure safety equipment is inspected and kept in good working order.</li><li>Carry out routine inspections of the vessels and their equipment to ensure it is kept in proper working order.</li><li>Keep all machinery spaces clean, neat and tidy at all times.</li><li>Attend Meetings as required.</li><li>Complete training as required to meet or exceed the requirements of the job.</li><li>Able to work in all weather conditions</li><li>Complete nightshifts</li><li>Must keep all applicable certificates current.</li></ul><p><strong>Role Specifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience operating boats/marine fleet in an industrial environment is required&#xa0;</li><li>Experience working around tailings operations is an asset&#xa0;</li><li>60T master certificate of competency from Transport Canada is required&#xa0;</li><li>Valid Class 5 licence with a clean abstract</li><li>Able to provide a negative pre-employment alcohol and drug test</li><li>Able to complete a Functional Fitness Evaluation&#xa0;</li></ul><p><strong>Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.</li><li>Comfortable being on and around open bodies of water</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors in harsh weather conditions</li><li>You have the ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions</li><li>You demonstrate strong organizational and problem solving skills</li><li>You possess an uncompromising commitment to health and safety at all times</li></ul>",
