All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship.  \n<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p>Riverside Research is seeking a motivated and high-performing college student to join our Procurement & Contracts team for a Summer 2026 Internship in our Fairfax, Virginia office. This opportunity is designed for rising juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in Procurement & Contracts. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting high-impact business initiatives, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop foundational skills critical to long-term success in contracts & procurement. This program offers meaningful exposure, professional development, and the opportunity to contribute to real business outcomes while building a strong foundation for your career. This internship offers a hands-on introduction to the complex world of federal government contracting, supply chain management, and corporate purchasing.</p>\n<p>Working closely with seasoned Contracts Administrators and Procurement Specialists, you will gain direct exposure to the policies, regulations, and lifecycles that govern defense and national security contracting. This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to build a career in supply chain, legal studies, business administration, or government acquisition.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in identifying, sourcing, and evaluating vendors and subcontractors for specialized technical services and commercial items.</li>\n <li>Support the team in drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).</li>\n <li>Learn to process purchase requisitions, verify pricing, and track orders from initiation through delivery and invoicing.</li>\n <li>Help review solicitation requirements and learn to apply clauses from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)—particularly focusing on commercial item acquisitions (FAR Part 12).</li>\n <li>Maintain, organize, and audit contract files within the corporate repository to ensure compliance with internal policies and federal audit readiness.</li>\n <li>Assist in tracking and routing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements through the corporate approval workflow.</li>\n <li>Help track vendor performance metrics, expenditures, and procurement cycle times using Excel or internal procurement dashboards.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively in teams.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear written reports and group presentations.</li>\n <li>A proactive learner who asks questions, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and works well in a fast-paced corporate environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Global Comp</h2>$25.00/hr- $35.00 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.\n<h2>Closing Statement</h2>  Riverside Research Institute is a not-for-profit, technology-oriented defense company, where service to our customers and support of our staff is our overall mission.
