    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports To: Director of Community Safety</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Purpose: </span></p>\n<p>To support the development and implementation of a community-based restorative process rooted in Dene values and traditions. The coordinator will co-develop the start-up, coordinate, and deliver restorative initiatives by working closely with the director of community safety, the FCSS justice supports worker, Elders, leadership, community members, and partner agencies.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-develop and implement a community-based restorative justice program.</li>\n<li>Facilitate restorative justice circles (healing, sentencing, conflict resolution).</li>\n<li>Recruit and support circle keepers and facilitators.</li>\n<li>Liaise with RCMP, Victim Services, Corrections, Crown Prosecutors, and other partners.</li>\n<li>Conduct community outreach and awareness activities.</li>\n<li>Ensure Elders and cultural practices are embedded in programming.</li>\n<li>Develop policies and procedures for a start-up department.</li>\n<li>Track outcomes and complete reporting for funding partners.</li>\n<li>Maintain confidential case files.</li>\n<li>Support program growth and sustainability.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-Secondary education in restorative justice, social work, or related field.</li>\n<li>Experience facilitating circles or mediation.</li>\n<li>Experience in Indigenous or community justice settings.</li>\n<li>Understand trauma-informed practice.</li>\n<li>Ability to pass a Criminal Records Check, including the vulnerable sector.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with Cold Lake First Nations community.</li>\n<li>Dene language is an asset.</li>\n<li>Ability to build relationships with community and partners.</li>\n<li>Strong organizational and reporting skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently in a start-up environment.</li>\n<li>High level of professionalism and confidentiality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office environment. Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 2:00pm.</li>\n<li>Working hours can vary and may require a flexible schedule depending on type of assignment or work plan task.</li>\n<li>Evening and weekend work may be required to attend meetings, events, and community engagement sessions.</li>\n</ul>",
