This position requires the ability to gain a sound understanding of department subject matter including monitoring the internal account opening system and documents received to ensure proper and accurate opening of 529 college savings plans with minimal supervision. This role will require collaboration among team members to execute on departmental objectives under direct supervision while following established procedures.</p>\n<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review and process 529 Plan account opening, transfer, and maintenance documents.</li>\n <li>Prepare and coordinate outbound materials for submission to the 529 Plan providers as either a fax or FedEx submission.</li>\n <li>Proficiently process, create, and enter data into systems to be utilized by our Financial Advisors and branch staff.</li>\n <li>Identify potential problems or issues and escalate to department leadership if necessary.</li>\n <li>Develop effective communication skills within the department.</li>\n <li>Accurately perform job duties as provided by leadership while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines.</li>\n <li>Provide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to attain a general understanding of industry rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail skills to minimize risk to the firm.</li>\n <li>Ability to take initiative and self-direction when performing tasks while remaining organized and maintaining prioritization effectively to meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Able to handle large workloads that vary based on heavy volume periods.</li>\n <li>Ability to work autonomously throughout the day based on performance criteria provided by leadership.</li>\n <li>Strong and consistent mathematical skills.</li>\n <li>Solid analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education & Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>Minimum Required: 0+ years of professional business related experience.</li>\n <li>Preferred: 1+ years of professional business related experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Systems & Technology</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite products. #LI-AS1</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Stifel</h2>\n<p>Stifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
