Description

POSITION: Scanner for the Shipping & receiving Department FUNCTIONS OF SAFETY: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and gown. Keep your hands away from moving parts. Use proper lifting techniques. Always keep the assigned area clean and tidy. Report any accidents, equipment, or unsafe areas to the line leader or supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SCANNER FOR THE SHIPPING & RECEIVING DEPARTMENT: Scan the products that enters or leaves the Shipping and Receiving Department so that the product is properly registered in the system. Received products must be scanned prior to be placed in the appropriate area by the pallet jack operator or the forklift operator. Products to be shipped must be scanned and then arranged properly in the trailer boxes to be transported to customers." Responsible for helping to produce safe, legal and authentic producers according to quality expectations of the customer. Supports, implements, and helps maintain and improve all programs and procedures of quality management. Responsible for the implementation, improvement, and compliance of all programs and BRC-related procedures. FUNCTIONS SPECIFIC: Clock in at the designated time clock. Retrieve necessary materials from the supply room. If required to work in the production area, ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn, Including earplugs, safety glasses, and a smock. Thoroughly wash hands before donning gloves on both hands to begin work in the production area. Adhere to the instructions and guidance provided By the Line Leader or Supervisor. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee will be standing 100% of the time. Reach, bend and twist moderately 100% of the time. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times. ENVIRONMENT: Poultry processors work in cold, damp conditions (40 ° to 50 ° degrees) to prevent the meat from spoiling. Work area surfaces are wet and slippery 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations. EDUCATION: Minimum education required. Must be able to understand the basic instructions of the leader/supervisor.
