(API) Medical Director, the NP/PA will provide quality primary medical and behavioral health services to adults, children and families in a holistic manner within the northeast Ohio area.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>SUPERVISOR:</strong></u> Medical Director or Designee</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u>:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Examines, diagnoses, and treats illnesses and injuries of patients throughout the lifespan.</li><li>Provides well-child, well-woman and well-man health maintenance exams to new and established patients.</li><li>Orders appropriate screening and diagnostic lab and radiographic exams.</li><li>Interprets results of physical exams and screening/diagnostic tests to implement appropriate care plans for the patient.</li><li>Prescribes medicines, therapeutic agents and treatment modalities as required by patient needs and in accordance with licensed prescriptive authority.</li><li>Supports health promotion, health education, health empowerment and disease prevention interventions for all patients.</li><li>Provides age-appropriate care to all patients.</li><li>Promotes patient and family centered care through a collaborative team approach.</li><li>Participates in established call group as necessary.</li><li>Refers patients to specialty practices as appropriate and needed.
