As a <ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T11:58\">Fund Accountant, Tax</ins>, you will utilize your communication and organizational skills to complete the preparation and filing of tax returns for our clients. This position is an opportunity for you to gain specialized experience in partnership tax law and the Alternative Investment industry.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong><u><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Responsibilities</span></u></strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Collect financial and other information from the client or internal administration teams.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Prepare tax workpapers including allocations and all tax related information for the tax year.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Coordinate the work with interns and other internal resources for the clients assigned.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Prepare federal and state tax returns using tax prep software and file with the required taxing authorities.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Gather and analyze financial information from underlying portfolio companies for purposes of US filings &ndash; PFIC, CFCs, 926 forms, etc.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Prepare and manage 1099<ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T12:00\">,</ins>1042<ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T12:00\">, and FATCA/CRS</ins> reporting.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Prepare tax basis calculations for partnership interests and PFICs.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Develop relationships with client management and effectively and timely communicate engagement status<ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T12:01\">.</ins></li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Identify and perform/review US withholding tax requirements relating to income allocations to foreign and tax-exempt recipients<ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T12:01\">.</ins></li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Respond to tax authority requests &amp; resolve tax notices<ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T12:01\">.</ins></li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Respond to limited partners&rsquo; tax inquiries or ad-hoc requests<ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T12:01\">.</ins></li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Research domestic and foreign tax reporting issues<ins cite=\"mailto:Jason%20West\" datetime=\"2021-11-10T12:01\">.</ins></li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Thoroughly review work completed prior to sending to supervisor for review.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Contact clients for information requests and provide information and completed tax returns.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Participate in, and lead, department improvement teams.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Other projects as required.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\">&nbsp;<strong><u><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Qualifications</span></u></strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting required</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Microsoft Suite experience, including use of Excel</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Highly organized and proactive, with follow-through on commitments</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Personal and professional integrity</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Strong work ethic, responsiveness and passion for customer service and quality</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Excellent team player and good interpersonal skills</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Good oral and written communication skills</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Ability to work with team members and manager remotely</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Ability to follow instructions and receive feedback and review comments on work prepared</li></ul><p><br></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong><u><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">What we Offer:</span></u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Alter Domus offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package including a generous vacation policy, a diverse work environment, and strong global connections.
