As one organization, we offer expanded resources, streamlined operations, and increased opportunities for growth and development. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join us to be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment dedicated to innovation and customer success. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>An Average Day:</strong>As the Facility Operations Specialist  you will access and troubleshoot the functionality of the building systems and equipment to include HVAC, electrical, chill water, generators, air handlers, etc. In this role you will determine if issues can be repaired by internal resources or if the repair requires outsourcing to a vendor. You will be the primary point of contact with vendors for repairs and acts as a liaison between the vendors and the customer’s facilities manager.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate, monitor, maintain, inspect, and support data center heating and cooling of air and water, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution and control and monitoring systems.</li>\n <li>Install, test, configure, customize various data center facility support systems.</li>\n <li>Participate in project teams to replace, repair, and maintain various data center facility systems.</li>\n <li>Provide oversight and guidance to vendors, perform quality control activities on work completed.</li>\n <li>Manage potentially emergent situations, lead corrective action and with leadership through resolution.</li>\n <li>Ensure organization’s compliance with Federal standards including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, as well as other state and local standards.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with hazardous materials management, utilization of confined space, industrial hygiene solid waste reduction, pesticide reduction, and recycling.</li>\n <li>Diagnose data center support equipment failure and institute action(s) to return equipment to normal operations. Respond to afterhours calls/emergencies in a timely manner if needed as well.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#hotjobs</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), we will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust</li>\n <li>5+ years of Facilities and Equipment experience in a Datacenter (preferred), Medical Facility or Commercial setting</li>\n <li>Expertise in modern facilities operations to include HVAC and environmental controls, security, safety systems, power, backup power systems, and smart building decision systems.</li>\n <li>Skilled at determining electrical power requirements, hardware placement, installation, move, replacement, and removal activities.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.</li>\n <li>DISC follows the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service operation best practices. It is important for the employees to demonstrate experience based on ITIL framework:\n  <ul>\n   <li>ITIL v4 foundation knowledge.</li>\n   <li>Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Strong written and oral communication skills in the English language. All contractor employees must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.</li>\n <li>Must be capable of directing personnel and interfacing with the Government and customers.</li>\n <li>Exceptional customer service skills.</li>\n <li>Strong time-management and prioritization skills.</li>\n <li>Work in confined areas such as crawl spaces, attics, utility pits, tunnels, manholes, and other confined spaces</li>\n <li>Work from heights such as rooftops, ledges, scaffolding, including climbing extension ladders and scaffolding.</li>\n <li>Move and handle heavy objects such as equipment, tools, and other building materials.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access, such as a REAL ID compliant driver license, U.S. Passport, or other approved document from the GSA Required Identification List.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00/Yr. - USD $100,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
