PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>\n<p>Prepares routine and novel financial analysis and reports, utilizing accounting theory and technical computer skills, as required by the department and health system for purposes of decision support.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<li>The design and maintenance of complex models and statistical reports to extract accurateinformation needed for making data based business decisions</li>\n<li>Monitor medical cost and utilization trends and analyze data on a monthly basis through the use ofadvanced computer skills</li>\n<li>Through clear written and oral communication, explain key analytical findings and work withsubject matter experts to identify appropriate actions and monitor outcomes</li>\n<li>Assist with annual budget process and determine financial status by comparing and analyzingbudgets and forecasts with actual results</li>\n<li>Incorporating metrics and benchmarks (both internal and external) to proactively identify andevaluate both leading and trailing indicators of medical management resulting in cost and utilizationtrends</li>\n<li>Participate in various corporate cross-functional teams</li>\n<li>Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes (including automation)</li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven department</li>\n<li>Ad hoc requests for data and analysis</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and computer skills with a focus on financial analysis and database management. Be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be detailed oriented and able to draw well thought-out conclusions. Excellent oral and written communication skills.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Required:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business, Finance, Computer Science or other related fields of study</li>\n <li>Three (3) years of experience in financial analyst, decision support, or similar roles</li>\n <li>Advanced Microsoft Access and Excel skills</li>\n <li>Solid knowledge of SQL and ETL</li>\n <li>Ability to work with large data sets and have an understanding of data warehousing and relational database concepts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CPA, CMA, MBA</li>\n <li>Healthcare industry background</li>\n <li>Budget and forecasting</li>\n <li>Cost accounting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills/Competencies:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Statistical trending</li>\n <li>Risk analysis</li>\n <li>Report automation</li>\n <li>Implementation of accounting systems</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel (lookups, pivot tables, VBA), MS-Access (queries & designing reports), SQL, and ETL</li>\n <li>Coding ability (for scripting and automation; not production level) or ability to quickly learn one of the following: Visual Basic, Python, or R. </li>\n <li>Ability to confidently interact with all levels in the organization</li>\n <li>Proven ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to unique and complex analyses</li>\n <li>Must be extremely detailed oriented and be able to work with little or no supervision </li>\n <li>An understanding of data warehousing and relational database concepts</li>\n <li>Knowledge of accounting/finance concepts and financial statements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><em><strong>Nationally Recognized.
