    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\"><br>Job Summary&nbsp;<br>As the MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) Manager I, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of environmental safety and operational excellence by managing the day-to-day operations of the Pala Composting Facility. You will oversee all site activities including gatehouse, sorting, loading, and unloading of composting material, while driving efficiency by minimizing operational costs and reducing truck turnaround times.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">&nbsp;</p><p>Additionally, you will oversee personnel needs such as hiring, coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team, make a meaningful impact on operational success, and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.<br><br><strong><u>II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong>&nbsp;<br>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.</p><ul><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Ensures smooth operation of site, including: gatehouse, sorting, loading.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Minimizes handling and operational costs.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Continually works to reduce turnaround time for trucks in and out of site.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Regularly proposes means of operational improvement.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Acts as a liaison, where necessary, for community relationships.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Complies with and ensures adherence to Waste Management's Mission to Zero standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Assists in creating a positive team-oriented environment through employee development and motivation.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property of the MRF through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with supervisors/employees.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Oversees personnel needs of the MRF including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Conducts and/or attends and contributes to periodic safety meetings.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Provides training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li><li><div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\">Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div></li></ul><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\"><strong><u>III. Supervisory Responsibilities</u></strong>&nbsp;<br>The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees.
