Description
Candidate will serve as a software release manager responsible for scheduling development, testing, and release of software or integrated hardware/software products.
Candidate should have a background in technical and/or programmatic management of the design, development, and sustainment of IT systems. Candidate should be self-directed with an affinity for identifying existing or potential problems with system development and collaborating across a large organization to drive identified problems to resolution.
Product releases will support F-35 maintenance systems hardware. Role involves embedded support in a US Dept of War Acquisition Program Office or the F-35 Joint Program Office, and daily interaction with the customer, other contractors, and foreign nationals. Candidate will be expected to:
Develop documents and recommend solutions or improvements for technical engineering problems of moderate scope
Research and prepare drafts and/or finished engineering presentations, reports, process studies, or technical information used for such things as program reviews, design reviews, and proposal activities
Initiate, develop, and maintain active interfaces and coordination/exchange of technical information among multi-disciplined engineering groups, subcontractors, and/or the customer
Analyze, develop, and maintain technical databases and supportive engineering systems

Requirements
0-4 years experience with IT systems or networking
BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering but will take experience in lieu of degree.
Desired Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
Familiarity with USN or UASF program management
Experience managing software development
Familiarity with Joint Strike Fighter Program Management Office, Maintenance Systems
Familiarity with USN/USAF Risk Management
