With design, production and test facilities in both the United States and Japan, sales offices in Las Vegas, Houston, London and Tokyo, Nikkiso Cryo offers prompt and full support for all of our customers worldwide.</p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>A Buyer II is a member of the Procurement team reporting to the General Manager and is responsible for supporting the supply chain management system. The Buyer II owns the procurement process, from RFQ to invoicing. The Buyer II is expected to select vendors based on an assessment of risk factors and manage orders through completion with minimal supervision. Negotiation, communication, and expediting skills are required. Any individual in this position will be required to work with a team-first mindset at all times. The employee is also expected to operate with a moderate level of autonomy due to the fast-paced nature of the business.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responds to demand using the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software</li>\n <li>Creates a Request for Quote (RFQ) package</li>\n <li>Negotiates price and delivery schedules with vendors</li>\n <li>Awards vendors based on vendor capability, price, and risk factors</li>\n <li>Monitors and controls orders once placed, maintaining records within the ERP system, the company database, and various reporting tools in Microsoft office</li>\n <li>Expedites orders as required, including occasional visits to vendors locations</li>\n <li>Tracks and organizes off-site testing at vendor locations with the project management team as required</li>\n <li>Reviews completeness of orders and certification packages with the quality team to provide shipping release to vendors</li>\n <li>Ensures completion of open items within the ERP system to assist accounts payable with invoices</li>\n <li>Assists in review of potential vendors for compatibility with the NCI supply chain management system</li>\n <li>Provides weekly status reports to the Purchasing Manager on open and upcoming orders</li>\n <li>Attends a variety of internal and external meetings – the buyer is expected to be well prepared and to bring valuable insight to the meetings as an active participant</li>\n <li>Is a willing and active participant in workshops, seminars, and training events</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree is preferred</li>\n <li>Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted</li>\n <li>3+ years’ experience in a similar position</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environmental and Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be required.</li>\n <li>Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to a Client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Environmental Safety Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness</li>\n <li>All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EH&S Technician</li>\n <li>Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis</li>\n <li>Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs include, face coverings, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with Nikkiso Cryo safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above are typically acquired through the levels of education and experience listed.
