The Mid-Level Product and Service Designer contributes to shaping the experiences of the young people and employers we serve — creating user-centred, thoughtful, and visually compelling products and services. Working closely with senior designers and cross-functional teams, this role translates insights and requirements into practical design solutions that support Harambee’s mission.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Your Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Work closely with stakeholders, young people, and employers to improve products and services</span></li>\n<li><span>Design solutions that increase access to opportunities for young people</span></li>\n<li><span>Contribute to seamless experiences across user journeys</span></li>\n<li><span>Develop personas, journeys, wireframes, and prototypes</span></li>\n<li><span>Test and iterate designs based on user feedback</span></li>\n<li><span>Collaborate with analysts and developers on requirements</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain design standards and best practices</span></li>\n<li><span>Support senior designers on larger initiatives</span></li>\n<li><span>Stay current with design trends and tools</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">How You'll Work</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Conduct user research and engage with stakeholders to inform design decisions</span></li>\n<li><span>Collaborate to define and refine product and service requirements</span></li>\n<li><span>Understand relevant tools and systems to inform practical design solutions</span></li>\n<li><span>Synthesize research and data into actionable design artefacts</span></li>\n<li><span>Track design success through metrics and iterate to improve outcomes</span></li>\n<li><span>Contribute to maintaining and enhancing products and services</span></li>\n<li><span>Plan and take ownership of design tasks within projects</span></li>\n<li><span>Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams</span></li>\n<li><span>Communicate design ideas and decisions clearly to stakeholders</span></li>\n<li><span>Manage delivery and stay accountable for progress</span></li>\n<li><span>Continuously grow your design craft and stay updated with best practices</span></li>\n<li><span>Create wireframes, prototypes, and components aligned to design systems</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">What we're looking for</span></p>\n<p><span>We’re looking for someone who is excited about using design to create meaningful impact — someone who is thoughtful, curious, and committed to growing their craft while contributing to something bigger than themselves.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Must Haves</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>A recognized tertiary qualification in either: Design, User Experience (UX), Informatics, Web, Product, Visual, Multimedia or a related field.</span></li>\n<li><span>3+ years of work experience in an agile product design environment, responsible for the creation of a range of design artifacts.</span></li>\n<li><span>Proven track record of exceptional quality delivery and cross-team collaboration.</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge in human-centered design, iterative design or other problem-solving methodologies.</span></li>\n<li>Proficiency in design systems, using tools such as Figma and Miro, and applying AI-supported workflows for design, ideation, and effective stakeholder and developer collaboration and handover.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Nice To Haves</span></p>\n<p><span>Experience or exposure to the following tools, platforms, or contexts is beneficial, though not mandatory:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Canva, including the creation and maintenance of templates</span></li>\n<li><span>Analytics and reporting tools such as Looker, Looker Studio, and Power BI</span></li>\n<li><span>Marketing and communication platforms, including HubSpot and SendGrid</span></li>\n<li><span>Content Management Systems (CMSs) and website builders such as Webflow</span></li>\n<li><span>React-based web applications</span></li>\n<li><span>Operational platforms, for example call centre management tools such as Genesys</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Who You Are</span></p>\n<p><span>You’re someone who cares about the impact of your work and takes pride in creating experiences that truly make a difference.
